yes you can... by pressing the main ipod/iphone button twice quickly while in the game, then you can continue to play the music.
(note: you must turn on the music before playing the game. The music will automatically stop when the game is loading.)

I have a iphone really love this game can't stop off it but i wonder if i can listen to music while playin anyone help me pls?????????????????????? tried the help above but doesn't work!!!!!!!!!

Did you change your iPhone's settings? Check this portion of the manual (on page 107):

thanks i've done that but when i put the music on then go to the game i double press when in the game and it takes me back to my ipod and out of my game.

It works fine on my device. Are you clicking too slowly on the Home button? You have to be pretty fast to get the transport controls to display. If you press twice and aren't doing it quickly, you'll go back to the Home screen.

Hi.
I've had a problem with answering a call or reminder on my iPhone in the middle of a game. When I go back to the game afterwards, there are no sounds for the game. I have to exit out again then go back in to get the music to come back on.
Any clues?

If you have an ipod, you can lock it, then hit the home button twice, and then you get a menu with a play symbol, if you hit the play symbol and then unlock your iPod, you can listen to your music.
