Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/14/08 09:52 PM

I thought it might be good, to write down what your villager is thinking with the picture of them. So here's my first one.

I had my photo taken today. As you can see, I'm very shy. It's a lovely day, so I thought I'd relax. My mind started to wonder as I thought about Weeko. He's the master builder, I think I really love him. But he never notices me, perhaps one day he might see that I truly like him. The children keep droping hints but I think he's a bit slow on the uptake. Maybe LDW can introduce tea and coffee, then I could invite him to my house for a drink. I could just take up singing lessons ( LDW haven't thought of that yet either ). Then I could serenade him, you know, romance in a song. Wish me luck peeps.

Would be good to see other picture stories. Here's my next one.

I saw my mum and dad today. They disapeared up the waterfall. Why have they left me here? I wanted to see the Golden Child as well. Mummy's friend doctor Sian, said she was very ill and couldn't help her. So she went to see the GC. I guess I shall have to waite here till she comes back. Can you all at LDW prey for her to get better.

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/15/08 12:39 AM

here's one about the keep fit fanatic.

That's my husband Leo walking away from me. The guy in the black shorts and dark blue top. Since I had baby Jay, I've put on weight. Leo just ignores me. My friend Kissa says it's 'cause I've put on weight but he still loves me. So I started exercising. I hope you can make more stews at LDW, so that I can get fitter. Meanwhile, I'll go and bathe my sore feet after another round of exerciseing. Wish me luck peeps. You never know, there could be baby no2 on the way soon, or twins, triplets. Should be a lol.

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/15/08 01:54 PM

This is my vision picture, with a twist in the tale.

I was one of the seven who landed on VV2. I was the child running around, picking mushies, when the guiding hand saw one. I got very lonley though and couldnt waite for another child to be born. At first, we were low on food and I longed to grow up and help with the farming. I did eventualy and at 14yrs I became a farmer. At 20yrs I married a scientist and we had four children. I passed away at the age of 69yrs. Every so often, when the gong rings, I return and marvel at how well my family have done. I watch my great grand children and feel so proud of them. Thanks LDW, for giveing me these wonderful moments. hope vv3 is just as good With love from Kissa.

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/15/08 03:15 PM

CMH, You sparked a wonderful memory from my past. Way back when... before we had electricity and we all rode around in covered wagons, I took a drama class in high school. We once did this play base off of a book called Spoon River Anthology, or as I knew it The Anthology of Spoon River. It was a book, where the townspeople of Spoon River, in 1915, had died and came back to tell their story. Most bits were short. There were so many people in this book the whole class got to be 2 or 3 different people. It was a great book and I really enjoyed being in that play.

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/15/08 03:22 PM

Here's another one, hope she made it.

I should stop drinking so much water. That's my dad Lucas he's a builder. As you can see, the guiding hand got him to gather wood for the fire. My mother Lulu is a doctor and she's helping to bury the dead. We don't really have many school lessons in vv2. So if LDW could build a school in VV3, it would be great. I suppose when i've peed, I could chase the birds off the huts but can't reach though. Should be another game of tag soon, we haven't played for a long time. One more thing, please give me a nice job when I grow up. But not researching, they always get injured. Bye peeps

Thank-you! i'm glad you liked it. Though I haven't read the book your refering to I bet it's a good read. I quite like short stories anyway as I don't always have time to read the long ones.

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/15/08 04:06 PM

This one's youth at a glance.

Can't the guiding hand see that i'm an adult. I'm a scientist. My wife Lola the farmer says it's my fault for popping round to the other side of Isola and asking the Golden Child if I could eat some of that magic fruit. Must admit it's very tasty. I can't see any of my kids around or i'd call them over to get it. Whats strange is that I can see it, whats happening to me? Hey! maybe you guys at LDW could extend our collecting age to 18yrs. Should be a lol. By the way we haven't got all our totems yet. Any chance someone could speak to my guiding hand CMH, I'd like to be remembered when I pass on, thanks again guys and bye for now.

The teaching sindrum.

Gosh! i'm a master doctor and i've already made a mistake. I only did this for a bet. I said i'd have a go at teaching and now I can't even look at the children. Can anyone at LDW help. It all started when we were kids ourselves. My friends Junno and Micky had a bet as to who would become masters first. The first person to do it would become a teacher for the day. Guess what? yes, it was me, a master doctor Junno is majoring in Science and Micky is majoring in Building. Now there both laughing at me. Thats them two near the pond. I don't know where to put my face. Can you peeps help make the joke backfire. Maybe I should take it with a pinch of salt. Anyways should be all good fun later folks.

This one's his dream job.

Wooo! i can see all round the island from here. Waite till the guideing hand sees me though. She'll just get me down. I know she's a girl 'cause she told me CMH ( real name Christine ) Anyway my Dad Tofo, is a builder, ( the one dressed in brown ) And he's been helping me to learn construction. He also makes sure I get the stews that make me exercise. Boy do I get tired after that. Especially after a game of Tag. Mums a doctor, but I do more stuff with dad so I want to be like him. You know, a builder. Wish me luck at LDW. Maybe I could come back later when i've grown up so you can see how well I've done. oops she's here, the guiding hand bye and thanks for coming to see me.

And now for my next trick.

Hi i'm Ema. We just got here really, so we don't know what lies ahead of us. As you can see, were makeing the best of a bad job. Let me introduce everyone. That's my husband behind me, doing some repairs he's Sam the builder. Standing next to me is my best friend Angel, next there's young Toby, he's only 12yrs old. He's standing by the table, I think he wants to be a scientist. Then there's Scarlet she's in orange and she's a doctor. The other two are brother and sister, Weeko the farmer and Ella a scientist. I'm going to study science. I'm dying to find out what was in that bottle. I suppose Sam's going to lift the wood up to see if it's a well. As you know from LDW we got here on a raft. That's all I can say for now. But please play us well and we hope you all enjoy playing Virtual Villager 3. See you soon folks, love from Ema.

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/15/08 10:42 PM

Thsi one should be fun.

Hi, i'm Wabu, you can't see the details but i'm embracing a lovely girl. Her name is Zeta and she's standing there waiting for me. My friend Jon the farmer says she has a bit of a crush on me. So wish me luck at LDW, I could be a daddy soon. I've always wanted a son that I could be proud of. I would call mim Popoki and he would ( hopefuly ) become the doctor I wanted to be. Instead I became a builder. By the way, Zeta's a doctor, so I might have a chance. You know what these vv games are like. Once the buildings are erected all you do is repair them. So I ended up being a parent. Still do my building work though. Any way, can't stop chatting. You might see me on VV3 bye peeps and play well. Wabu saying bye

The Golden Child feeking sad.

My perents died a long time ago. Ther's a picture of me with my mum. The guiding hand ( CMH ) took it. But I feel sad. Not just because they died, but because not many people like me. Some call me a party animal. But I can live with that. I do try you know, I mean, I create food for the villagers. I also bring the crops back to life and I do the berry bush. I can collect mushies and I heal people. So i'm not that bad. I give parties, to entertain every one so that there lives arn't so dull. So please at LDW give me a chance, i'm only five years old. I'll never grow up and I have to watch my beloved friends die. Thats not easy for a child of my age. Thats me talking to one of the parents, she's a great confort when I feel down. love you all bye The Golden Child

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 03/17/08 12:33 PM

My name Jasmine and this is my beloved husband, Aslan. While running away from the man my father wanted me to marry, Aslan and I hid in the Cave. The wall gave way and we fell down the waterfall here. We quickly became parnets to five lonely children who did not know where their went to. We then went on to have seven children of our own. One son turned out bad (but that a different story).
Now with five adopted children, seven children, 47 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, we have to sneak away to be alone....

This one's a childs turn.

Hi all at LDW, I'm Bixa, amd i'm 7yrs old ( I think ). Anyway, i'm just here to have a moan really. You see, my and my friends that you can see in the picture, have been playing tag all day. Not only that but we look for fish check out the plants and watch the scientist, among other things. Well! you can imagine, we're tired and hungry. What do the oldies do! They start celebrateing some sort of festival we know nothing about. Well, I mean some one's got to make the stew, and we can't. So i'm asking anyone who reads this give CMH a nudge, you know, get the adults to make a stew. If you do that for me, i'll be really nice in vv3. skills, running working and learning no laundry. Bye all and thanks for listening love Bixa

One from the start.

Remember me, I'm always here at the start of VV1. My name is whatever your user name is. In this case it's Colourmehappy. I could sure do with a bit of that. I'm standing on the island before the volcano struck. I can actualy see Isola Island from where i'm standing. The reason I knew it was because I have special powers. The boy they call the Golden Child made me a wise person. He's been here. I'm going to prepare myself for the boat now. As you know you will be rescueing us when we land on the shores of Isola. We can't take everyone but we'll do our best. I hope you peeps at LDW will look after us in the VV1 game. Thats when the Golden Child comes again. Thanks a bunch to you all and don't forget to colour me happy. I hear that you have VV2 now, you will soon have VV3. Enjoy, but don't forget us your faithful friend of a game you all love.

Party time.

Hi Folks at LDW, it's party time! We got this idea from the Golden Child next door to us. I mean the other side of the island, VV1. But being as we're VV2 we have to make a stew. Althought we dance and exercise some times anyway. My mum Lulu, the lady with the ginger hair and yellow dress made it for us. She's a scientist. Dads just a builder Loco, which suits him 'cause he gets mad a lot. Now that the buildings are up. They don't build any new one's. Me and my friends are haveing a great time here in Isola. If I could i'd send you a card saying wish you were here and enjoying the wheather. I can't read and write yet and we don't have a school. But we get a lesson from masters sometimes. But then I thought, you are, when your playing, silly me. Anyway must log off, as the saying goes. See you soon ( maybe in VV3 ). All the best Kanyo

Funtime at the lagoon

Hi folks, i'm Pupa the doctor, or rather one of them. That's my husband Jon the builder half way down the rocks. My daughter Liz is watching the scientist, she says that she wants to be one, when she grows up. The others are all great friends of mine. As you know, the wheather is good here in Isola, so i've just had a swim. Relaxing and soaking up the sun. It's been one of those good days for me. I've got to make the next stew in a minuite, so I shall toodle off when the guiding hand picks me up. Oh! here she is, see you all at VV3 yours forever Pupa

Now and then.

Hi all at LDW, My name is Babu. My guiding hand ( CMH ), started a new VV1 game. I was the first child to be born in this VV1 game. I don't remember how old I was in the pictures. But when I grew up, I became a scientist. As you can see, in one picture, thats me as a child. In the other one, as an adult. I just thought it would be good to see how we villagers got on when we grew up. I'm doing well and am really happy here. Must go and happy gameing from your one and only Babu

Doc Dodo got roped into this.

Thats my wife sitting near me, she's also a doctor. As you can see she's nursing yet another baby, she loves them. But the thing is, they got on her nerves running around playing tag. So, she got me telling them a story. Guess what! they want to know about VV3. These kids are clever. They keep asking if they'll be in it. I said ask the peeps on this site. How did they find out about LDW. I never told them. If that Golden Child has been spreading stories about it i'll stop him from coming here. Anyhow, i've got some healing to do, till we meet again, it's bye from Dodo

Edgar Lee Masters did an excellent job with that book and it's popular in my neck of the woods as well in particular because my state can proudly say that its home to the real Spoon River.

Hi, I'm Amago, this is my sad story.

It started when I was 14yrs old. I began studing to be a doctor. Then, my guiding hand decided to let me ring the gong. Well, to my surprise I was happy, thinking if I get wisdom, I would be qualified at something. I was qulified alright. I got wisdom and am a master parent. Still practising as a doctor though. Not bad you may think. It ruined my relationship with my wife 'cause I made a lot of girls pregnant as you can see. Can you guys at LDW help me get her back. I'll love you all forever if you do. Bati wants a miricle.

I get fed up with CMH. She keeps draging us trainees back to the flowers so that we can become master doctors. Still, i'm only a trainee at the moment. Well! you can imagine my excitement, when she elected me to ring the gong. I kept preying that I would get wisdom, that i'd be a master doctor. I wouldn't have to study anymore. No such luck, instead we got granted health. I suppose I should be greatful really. Any way, this Isloa island is full of mystery, fun and laughter. I really love it here. Thanks peeps at LDW, for makeing it so good for us. See you all at VV3 all the best, your fav trainee doc Bati

Hi i'm Nofo, I notice all the grown ups come here. They either tell joke or moan about something. I came here 'cause I felt a bit lonley. Anyway, this Totem i'm sitting next to is very important. Why? I here you ask? Because it's the first one on Wabus tribe. His name was Salak and he was 74yrs old when he died. By the way i'm 10yrs old and i'm going to be a builder when I grow up. Oh! My wash day blues.

Hi, i'm doc Kato. as you can see! i'm carrying my washing around. I'm about to have something to eat. I know, you see it all the time. Us peeps carrrying our laundry around. But, what you don't know is that some of them don't like washing. So, what do they do! they borrow other peeps cloths. Well, I for one have had enough of it. So I carry my cloths around till I go home. I know they talk about me. Like the couple to the right of me. So! life's to short to worry about gossip. Anyway peeps at LDW, thanks for listening all the best doc Kato

The granddaughter reflecting.

If you look at the first picture that CMH did. You'll see that she was a doctor named Gizfa, you know! the shy girl. Well, i'm her granddaughter. My name is Penyo and I became a farmer, just like my dad Weeko who was her son. She did marry Weeko, the man she fell in love with. He was a builder. I often sit here and think about her while relaxing. She was a great grandparent. Great to catch up on us! isn't it. Well bye for now and see you all soon at VV3.

Another V V 3, from a little girl.

Hi i'm Mirea, We're celebrating 'cause we've just found the cave. But little do they know, when i'm old enough, i'll go through it. You see, I know about the other villages and i'm going to try and find them. that game called tag is suppose to be great fun for the kids as well. I espcially want to meet the Golden Child. I've heard he's a real brat. Anyway peeps, I want to be a doctor when I grow up. So wish me luck. See you all later love Mirea.

Hi i'm Miki, This is how it is, when you guys start a new game. You get a hand full of us peeps, and you work us to the ground. Even us kids don't get much chance to play. 'Cause wer're running around getting mushies or collectables. I'm only a kid, I can't understand why grownups won't tell us stories. So here I am feeling sorry for myself. Can you help them get more tech points please. Then they can get more foods and upgrades. Anyway thanks for listening see you later love Miki

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 06/30/08 03:54 PM

If you are referring to your post, #158741, it appears that it is an issue with Photobucket. If a Moderator or an Admin of this forum edits your post, it will say that it was edited by that person. We have no control over that. We cannot edit something and not have it leave that "fingerprint". Your post does not say it was edited by anyone from the LDW team. It does, however, show a generic Phototbucket message where your picture is supposed to be. \:D
Posted by: Lurkily

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 06/30/08 05:23 PM

This message is most likely because the file on photobucket has been moved, removed, or because the URL is misspelled. Did you move it to a different folder or sub-folder on photobucket? If so, you'll need to get the new link, and re-post the image using the new URL.
Posted by: Annthewhofan

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 06/30/08 06:31 PM

When I deleted any pics in photo buckit, I'm afried it gets deleted where ever you posted it but the image of where it was posted stays. So I don't delete pic in photo buckit if I use photo buckit now. Your pics seem to be still there. I can't see any of them gone.
Posted by: Lurkily

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 06/30/08 06:37 PM

Here's the thing; photobucket doesn't put your pic on these forums. These forums ask photobucket for the image, when you load the page. That's all any image host can do.

When you take your images off photobucket, it's not there when the page has to load, and the forums ask photobucket for the image.

The image has to stay online, or else wherever you've linked to it will not be able to find it. One way you can keep your image online is by using the file manager to attach the image to a post, then using that link to display the image. LDW does not appear to have an issue with hosting files meant for the forum on their servers indefinitely.

Here Kissa tells her story: Balum and I have just become adept doctors. Here we are, the first to get new cloths since the sewing hut was finished. It's standard clothing for doctors so that CMH knows where we are. Any way, we're still mad about each other. I shall keep you all posted. bye for now love Kissa & Balum. Here's one from the little villagers.

Right you gamers! (at LDW) That's me in green and yellow. you won't know who's talking, but away from the adults, we can hatch our plan. you see, wer'e fed up with CMH interupting our game of tag. We're fed up with having to collect mushies and collectables, so we've hatched a plan. We're going to build a boat and go to one of the other islands. That way we can play till our hearts content. Hehehe! happy sailing love from the village children xxxxx \:\) \:\)

Come here little children. There's a VERY kind guiding hand over by the island with the salt mines. And, uh, a candy tree. Yes.

Suuuuuure..... of course, a candy tree. Don't You Believe It. LOL \:D

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 09/25/08 07:34 PM

What? YOUR island has a tree that drops three different fruits, none of which grow into the tree that dropped them. Mine grows candy. I think mine's more believable.

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 09/25/08 07:44 PM

Not MY island! MY island doesn't even HAVE fruit trees! (Unless you have somehow come to the conclusion that coconuts are fruit!)
So there. lol

Hey guys! you should know LDW won't give us candies. Tell you what, best offers and we'll move to your island. But! you must let us have our space so we can play tag.

This on's a little sad, from VV 3.

I saw where you you came from, said the little boy with tears in his eyes. But they were not tears of fear but of sadness. Do you know my parents! asked the little boy. Why won't you talk to me he kept asking as he looked at them then up to what he thought to be where heaven is. My name is Solote, said the little boy. He then yelled for his mum. Please come and see me, at which point the couple disapeared.

Of course I'm a master doctor now but we were relaxing on the beach when this was taken. Oh! one more thing CMH has kindly put me in her Not a love story. So you'll see this picture there as well. NOTE FROM 123ISOLAGIRL: SORRY IF THE PICTURE IS IN THE WRONG PLACE!!!
Hi everyone, I'm the boy in the picture. The girl near me is Taroa-my cousin. She is 3 years old and she's too young to read and write, so I wrote this for her. Anyway we just moved here and we needed a chief, so everyone tried on the robe. This robe happened to be size XXXS (extra extra extra small!) so it fit the youngest villager. I'm worried that she will ruin our tribe, LOL.

Hey, my names Tarita. This is me with my little baby, im showing her the ocean. Its such a shame that she has to see it this way, filled with all this horrible aligae. I hope that one day during her life, she lives to see it cleared, and she can look out to a beautiful clear blue ocean, just like i remember it when i was very little. However, this is an amazing island, and i love living here. Well, i best be going, goodbye everyone for now smile

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 07/07/13 10:07 AM

This one is about the twins Chip and Buru:

Hi, my name is Buru and I'm 2 years old. The older kids call me "Dale", I asked them why and they said it's because I have a twin brother called Chip (That's him, the one in the picture who looks exactly like me). What does that have to do with anything? I guess I'll find out when I grow up and learn more about the outside world. Or maybe the guiding hand can explain it to me. Look, she's coming now, talk to you later! Bye!

Re: Villagers thoughts for the day. - 07/07/13 10:10 PM

Hello, my name is Sara, and I'm the only blond female in my village. Apparently my guiding hand likes blonds a lot, and now this is my fourth or fifth child, so far it has only been boys, since I am now 48, the guiding hand is really hoping that it would be a girl, Anyways, bye for now, because it's raining and EVERBODY knows that if you're nursing, then you have to go hide under the tree. Bye!

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but I didn't want to start a new one!

Warning: this one might be a bit sad. I just got the barrel o' babies event and one of the kids dislikes sand and the ocean, so I thought that she must've been traumatized by the barrel experience frown
I used terrible grammar to make it more authentic grin

Umm hi my name is Tapiwa. I'm 3. I wanna go home. I miss Mommy and Daddy.

Last night, I couldn't sleep. I waked up and feeled sick. I wasn't in my room. I was in a dark, scary place. I didn't went back to sleep. Later, I feeled everything shaking. Light came in from behind me. A lady picked me up. She put me on the ground. I felled down and I got sand in my mouth! Yuck!

The lady said the dark scary thing is called a barrel. She took out another kid from there. His name is Nonolo. He's 3. I didn't knowed him before. Then the lady said she'll take care of us. I like her. But I still want my mommy.
