[SPOILERS] birds and crops

Hi All,
My grand daughter and I just started with "VV lost children" How do we keep birds from eating the crops before the harvest? She had several farmers planting and watering. Isn't that enough to scare the birds away? thanks for the help.

Welcome to the game. I think you and your granddaughter will enjoy playing. But it can be a bit challenging at first.

If you go to the main forum list and scroll down to the fourth section, called guides, and select VV2, you will find detailed guides and descriptions of most everything you'll need to get going. If you don't want that much information yet, I would suggest 'scaring' the birds away. (hint)

If you would like to know the answer now, begin highlighting here: You will need to have an adept or master farmer gather the flexible wood located at the bottom of the rocks which are just to the east of the gong area. After gathering the wood, the villager will carry it to the crops and begin assembling a scarecrow. The villager will need to make two trips to complete the task.

Thank you very much! I have only a few villagers still alive and algie covered ocean, so no fish, out of coconuts and BIRDS!! I will try this now.

I am glad it helped I have gotten so much help from the forums and members. I doubt I would have finished the game without it!

Honestly, I probably lost 4 tribes before I got the birds to stay away I kept having the kids run around the crops to scare the birds off...dur-du-dur...don't tell anyone, it's sooo embarrassing! Hahaha.

is there a certain level of technology you need to have for the builder to start work on the scarecrow? I've built the dam and keep dropping my adept builder there...but it just says she's confused and doesn't know what to do ~_~

by `there' I meant the twisted vines and such...not the dam itself ^^;

Highlight for spoiler: you don't need a builder but a farmer (adept at least) and bring him twice to the twisted vines. End of spoiler.
