(SPOILER) Hello and coconut help

Hi everyone, I've been reading all the forums and enjoying that almost as much as playing the game. I love it!!
However it seems that most people cant get their villagers out of the trees but I cant get mine to climb. I have restarted several times cos I keep getting algae and don't have coconut backup!!
How can i get the little darlings to climb??

oops, never thought of that!! i've just got enough for the 2nd level and coconuts are being harvested as we speak.
