Rockmower's sister

Hi all, I am Rockmower's big sis. He got me hooked on VV, and I, in turn, hooked my oldest son and my three year old granddaughter. I am a medically retired third grade teacher, and am also a poet. My on line name, Queen of Planet Ploknar, came about from a halloween costume one year, and the need to give my students a creative writing subject. A friend saw me on my way to school in the costume, and greeted me with, "All hail the Queen of Planet Ploknar". It stuck, and my students loved the idea of writing about an imaginary planet with me as Queen.

Welcome, Rocky's sister! Always good to have more shark bait<coughcough> forumers to enrich the forum experience, yes, yes. That sounds right. <cough> Anyway. Also nice to see that Rockmower is a human being, rather than a top-secret supercomputer hooked up to a rhyming dictionary, that broke loose from its masters.

Now if she is pressed,
The truth to reveal,
She herself can do poems,
And stories with zeal!

So I think that we could,
If only we dare,
Pester her to write tales,
In which we can share.

And to my friend Houjun,
And others who teach,
Sis is retired, but
She was great indeed!

I’ll close out this welcome,
I know it’s quite long,
But to know she’s now here,
Fills my heart up with song!

Well, to be more specific, I have 3 sisters, but Queen of Ploknar only has 2 sisters. By the same token, I have 4 brothers still living and 2 brothers in Heaven, but She has 5 brothers living and 2 brothers In Heaven. Both of our parents now live in heaven, along with all four of our grandparents!

Hey peeps! I was having a little fun with math! Don't feel sorry for us, we have a GREAT family, and we're getting to the age where these things happen!

It's true our 2 brothers left us too soon, but hey, if that's God's plan, who are WE to judge it? We'll just enjoy our lives; family; friends and these forums until it's our turn to go home.

That sounded confusing, Rock - until I did the math.

That's what I was trying to do! Play word games with math. It can be a lot of fun. I used to know some good one's but I've forgot 'em all now.

Awww, thanks, that was sweet. I'll start working on a tale or two soon, if the little ones will don't keep me too busy. I will have a little more time in Aug. as hubby will be on the road, again.

Oh, no, no. Rocky typically displays inhuman capacity for poems, leading me to believe that he's a military supercomputer that's developed a psychosis linked to poetry somehow.
