what island events have we all had?

If you go backwards, you have a pretty good chance of hosing your game, not to mention the other potentially serious side-effects of adjusting your system clock all the time.

I have three games running right now. So far the events I've seen are (off the top of my head):
-Guy got a vial of blue liquid, drank it and became a Master Doctor
-Kid found a book, put it on the research table, and it disappeared
-Someone found a trunk with two little boys in it
-Someone found a trunk with rats in it that bit them and made them sick (they were able to be healed)
-Someone found a trunk with spiders in it that bit them and made them sick (they were also able to be healed)
-The dream in the cave - I took the path toward the growling and nothing really happened.
-A whale washed up on a sandbar and it was still alive - I chose to keep it alive until the tide came in and my village went from Level 1 to Level 2 of Spirtuality (that was a good one)

Those are the only ones I can remember. I wanna see some monkeys!!

i had a terrible event in one of my games. a typhoon washed away all the food!! i had more than a million food units. it was very uncool

Oh I had the typhoon as well... I was probably up to about 3k units, though, which was replenished pretty quickly with three people fishing, including two Master Farmers.

I had the monkeys (didn't see them). They knocked stuff off the table but it made it so there were a big discovery, and I ended up with a bunch of tech points.

I've had multiple bottles of liquid, a plague of parrots (I'm still cussing about those darn parrots), a hot wind that ruined my berries/crops and food supply and a compass was found.

I have had a crate of rats, a beached whale, a monkey they found had stolen food and when they retrieved it they also got 3,000 bananas, several of my villagers say that they see something strange but nothing seems to come from it. I also had the writings that then get stolen off of the research table.

I've had the beached whale a couple of times and each time I did the 'right thing', I helped it get free. So, this last time I wanted to see what would happen if I chose to harvest it for food. I waited to be struck by a plague or somethin, but instead I got the food that was badly needed.

Drink the red liquid and doesn't feel quite themself... changed who the villager was. He was the reddish brown haired guy who became the half balding brown haired guy. I want the other guy back he was cuter :P

Before buying the game I downloaded quite a few trials. I've had the book, which I ignored, and the vials of liquid which I ignored, and a crate containing rusty tools. Some of my villagers got sick, but they were healed.

When I bought the full version I decided to be a bit more adventurous, so I drank the liquid, and the villager got turned into a child!
I've also had a monkey mess up the table, but it was to my advantage.

My nephew has a game running of his own since yesterday, and so far he's had the book, which he read, and then wandered off and never returned, and one of his children has turned out to be a prodigy.

Those wretched monkeys STOLE 4000 points from my village and then later again STOLE 4300 points - when I was trying to do all the puzzles without fishing, so had to get fishing in order to survive!!!

I'm running 5 games simultaneously, so I tend to see at least 2-3 events a day. So far I"ve seen:
--The rusty compass
--Monkeys ransacking the table, and either addin tech points or taking them away
--Food wiped out by mold, typhoons, and birds. A bunch of villagers starved, including one 5-year-old. That one made me sad....
--Berry bush pollinated by bees
--Crate with twins
--Crate with spider (folks got sick)
--Crate with rusty tools (I think folks got sick while getting tech points)
--Troubled kid who became a Master researcher
--The beached whale. A couple times the villages saved it, and other times when food was low they ate it. Dependng on what happens, you get villagers who either really like fishing and eating whale meat, or really hate them....
--Various liquids that either added skills or changed villager's looks

No one ever answered my question about how many events there are total. I saw a lot of postings about what events players have had, but that's it. Anyone have a number? Curious to know when I've had em all.

I have one that I didn't see listed yet.... I have a big wave come and put debris all over my beach AGAIN! UGH...

I really, really wish we had more events. I get bored just waiting on nothing but tech points to gain the next level. There's food, huts, and basically, just waiting and waiting on tech points with NOTHING happening for HOURS.

I really enjoy the events as well. I would like them to be more frequent too. I suppose that is what keeps us locked to the game, waiting on those events.

Maybe that should be our next poll. Who wants more events?

Yes, more events PLEASE! They're fun, and just when you think you know what'll happen, there's a new outcome!

In addition to the Isola Day of Celebration, I've also had the villagers celebrate a "Blessings Day", during which they do the same dancing party as usual.

I've had most of the ones above as well, and I'm waiting for the day I find all of my wayward villagers who wandered off after reading that controversial "Island of the Black Pearl" book...

i've had quite a few events so far...

crate with spiders

blue and red vials

a stranger who came in a boat to take 'samples' of the plants, and i let him and he gave us antibiotics - yay my medicine level went up for free!

monkeys who gave me tech points

heaps of typhoons which washed away all my big food supply!

heat waves

book in the drum

poisonous berrys which killed people

book which made people disappear

black pearl

mouldy mushrooms which made people sick...

i can't wait to have the cool ones i've read in this thread, like the dream and beached whale!

yes i have to agree more island events!!!!!!! they are cool

3 Vicous green fluid events, 1 drank, changed her face & hair, the other two were poured out.

1 Berry smasher, taken to the researchers for tech points....hmmm I think that's it so far.

I definately would like more events. I have had a monkey stealing food and let it run off and ended up getting an adept healer. I also got the one where the monkeys are on the research table and I got good tech points. I have a 6 year old master scientist, and when I got the dream one I figured the good one sounded like a trap so I found out about the treasure on the side of the temple (but I don't have the temple yet boo-hoo.)

i had a vile once and the kid was 13 and guess what? it made all skills go up to half the bar (WOO!)

I had one where 8 of the men left in a raft to check out the other side of the island.

has anyone else had the one with the mirror If they look into the mirror they change bodies with someone else.

All you have to do is use the forum Search function and search for "compass" to find the answer. Make sure you change the search date range to 1 year.

i had my food get moldy and i took out the mold and like 12 villagers got sick (including children!) i also had the mystery man, viles of liquid, typhood, box of dipars and the moth.

Ive had moth liquid vials compass strange face plauge of rats diapers triplets and twins in a box Isola day Celebration many more

I've had a crate wash up with rusty tools but some villagers got sick & I gained 1000 tech pts....no biggie w/sickness either just used a healer.

Also had some type of celebration where all the villagers started celebrating & had big feast at the end....so far that's it.

Broken compass That one event I never had so what does that do.

I'll show you an easy way to find things like that in the forums:

Click the Advanced button over on the left, under the Search box. Type compass in the Keyword box at the top and change the Date range to 2 years. Click on All forums in the Forum(s) to search box and click Submit. You'll see a list of posts containing the word compass including one that has the choices and outcomes for that exact event!

I have had all the Island events I looked at in my search, except The visiter, I wonder why I have never had that event?

Next time I get the drum event let the villager play it and get the rainfall instead of a master doctor for once.

I don't know if it's normal but I had the event when they ask you
if your villager drink or not a vial of a redish oily liquid or
something like that. If I answer yes my villager die. I got that
one at least 4 times.

I took a risk to day with the beauteful berries event and it paid off this is the result she's a master parent too.

white pearl (just got that one and it was a nine year old kid who found it, I said keep it, and all of his skills were increased, and he's able to heal people, he's now an apprentice doctor at the age of 9.

How about having the events come a little more often, say once every three hours instead of every fifteen hours after the first two events.

i've had a child dream about the adults and how they left to hide something, i found a compass and kept it, someone found a vial of liquid and drank it ...his hair and eys changed color, many parrots and baby in the crate...someone saw eyes watching them...they investigated and got kidnapped.and so far that's about it.

Wow. The latest post on this topic was almost 9 years ago. I feel a little weird posting this, but here it goes:
I started a new game of VV1 (or Virtual Villagers: Origins, in my case) on my iPad, and the first event I got on that game was one where one of the villagers found a liquid. I don't remember which one, though. I chose for him to drink it, and this is what it said:
