[spoiler maybe] Resurrection

[spoiler maybe] Resurrection - 12/07/08 01:30 AM

I looked through the forum, but I can't seem to find the answer to my question. I've had four pets, that all lived to age 74. I have taken good care of them, keeping their food bowl full, giving them meds as soon as I see them sick, and keeping their area clean. But none of them have decided to come back. Also none of mine live past 74, am I doing something wrong or is it very rare to have them do either?

My pets almost always came back for extra lives. In addition to food and other health considerations, your pets need love and play. Are you spending very much time playing with your pets and grooming them? Are you accidentally hitting them? If you're careful to play with your pet frequently (I usually play with them until they get tired and fall asleep) and do other things that they like (different pets like different things), they will love you and want to come back after they die. smile

For some reason all of my pets favorite toys has been the duck, so I let them scampper around with it. I'll try grooming them more. My current pet, Cheeze It, (weird name I know) loves to play with all the toys so I always try to give her a different one. Thanks for the tips, Lady. My pet is 73, so I guess soon we'll find out if I loved her enough. Oh, by the way, does leaving them stablized for long periods of time effect whether or not they will come back? Thank you for your time.

I haven't stabled my LPP pets very much, but I can imagine that it would affect your relationship with your pet. It's like dropping them off at a kennel and having other people care for them. While they are stabled, they are not getting to interact with you and learn to love you. Remember, it's your relationship with your pet that determines whether or not they will choose to come back.

The game is only for mobile devices that use Palm OS for their operating system. Right now, that would include phones such as the Treo (Palm OS version), but not Motorola phones.

Thank you for helping me Lady. Sadly Cheeze It died this morning at age 74 and decided not to come back. frown I have a new one who's name is Cinnimon. grin I have "one" more question. Does leaving them stablized all night effect how you care for them or is it safe to leave them on all night. Should they be fine if I clean their area and then feed them just before I go to bed?

Re: [spoiler maybe] Resurrection - 12/08/08 05:50 AM

I'm sorry that Cheeze It decided not to come back. I hope you and Cinnimon get along very well.

You should not stable your pet unless you plan to be away from the game for awhile. The purpose of stabling your pet is described in the game's instructions:

Quote:
If you have to go on vacation, or will not be able to care for you pet for a while, you can STABLE him (in the PREFERENCES menu). The pet will continue to age, but will be cared for.

I never stabled most of my pets, and they do just fine overnight. If you don't have time to really play with your pet, just a quick check on him for feeding and cleanup should be enough. A little combing will give you extra "brownie points" too. smile

The only indication of your pet's state is the status display in the upper right corner.
