How Can I make more than 50 Elders???
Last year I started 2 tribes, but something happened to my computer and I lost both of them , so I had to start all over again last month :/... And I said to myself, I have to make more than 50 elders, so I did everything I could, but the program would only allow me to have 50 elders , (only 50 totems)... What is the clue? How come the people in the leader chart have up to 64 elders???
Please Help!

You can have as many elders as you like, if I'm not mistaken; it's just that you only get 50 totems, and no more.

I tried, as a matter of fact before I got the 50th totem, I had 5 villagers ready to become Esteemed Elders, but once I got the totem, then the other 5 were just Master this or the other (Masters in 3 skills) and in the statistics it only shows 50 Esteemed Elders. So I don't understand how did the people that are in the leader chart get 64 elders?

You can only have 50 EE Totems.

The limit is 50 Esteemed Elders. Once you reach 50 elders, you cannot create any more Esteemed Elders (with or without totems) without encountering assistance from things outside your control. You can still have villagers master 3 or more skills, but they will receive neither the Esteemed Elder title nor the accompanying totem. The people on the leader boards with more than 50 elders have either run into some fortunate circumstances with Island Events or the gong (or they've cheated).

Oh I see... Thank you so much... Because I did try so hard to make my little villagers master their skills so within time they would become Esteemed Elders. Now I don't feel so bad, because it had nothing to do with me, hopefully the Island Events will be nice to me and give me at least one or 2 more Elders.

I was looking at the leaderboard again... Something is really weird, Hevn is the leader, he's been playing for 9182 hours and he has seen only 8 island events? 64 elders? and only 92 babies??. Does this sound real to you? and he has only 1 special stew??

The leaderboards are misleading, anyway, even under normal circumstances - they're not a consistent gauge of performance. Also, inconsistent numbers on the leaderboards don't necessarily mean someone's trying to cheat the leaderboard, just that they're cheating in their own personal game.

In other words, just doing what you like with your own game can inadvertently affect your online leaderboard standing - they're not trying to cut in line.

That's a good example of the reason why LDW decided to discontinue the leader boards in VV3.

I guess that was a good idea, but on the other hand it's fun to try to be on the top list, as long as follow the "Fair Play". And also when one reads the statistics in the puzzles' link it is fun to see how one is doing... It was for me, until my old tribe died and I had to start all over again, after 1 year and a half of playing... oyyyyyyyyyyy, I don't even want to remember!, I did cry when I found out that my tribe was gone and nowhere to be found in my computer, and ohh no, start all over again, find all the collectibles, make points, the puzzles etc... I already had all my favorite villagers!, oh well...
