I agree. As Anarose discovered, making buttons and other user interface elements more 'touch-friendly' in Windows 8 seems to have made the close button (at least) too sensitive. I don't regret moving to a Mac. In fact I'm looking forward to the imminent release of the new version of OS X, Yosemite.

I'm rather surprised that you find iOS 8 not enjoyable, though. I have an iPad as well and haven't noticed any issues at all. Are your apps up to date? Several of my apps have had recent updates because of the new iOS release, but even before updating they all seemed to work OK although it's of course possible that I wasn't using a particular operation that would have failed under iOS 8. The most important app, VF2, works fine!
