I've looked through the forum and haven't found this problem discussed, so here goes. It seems there is bleed-through from family to family. That's probably why families with no bubble machine have bubbles in the same spot as the machine used by another family. While the bubbles are not a problem, placing furniture is. If one family has a couch in a certain spot in the office, another family cannot place anything in that spot in their office. I hope I'm explaining this adequately. The furniture gets the red border around it and one ends up with couches in the middle of the room. Is there a way around this?

I agree- I wish all the furniture could be turned 360 degrees.

I managed to place something by accident, and it's at the very top of the yard, and I can't get at it to move it where it's meant to be! Is there a way to resolve this problem?

Any progress on this issue? Today I bought a new couch to replace the battered, old one and it's now in the middle of the room instead of against the wall where the old one was. It's really annoying and takes away from my enjoyment of the game. frown

I had this problem too.....you have to make sure you click on the 'decorate' tab at the top of the screen and then you can move your bought furniture!

Hi Grumpity. Sorry to hear that you are still having this issue. frown I hope the attached image of the office in my 3 families reassures you that the couches can go against the wall in all of your families. smile

The difference between the 1st and 2nd image is that the couch is moved over a little more to the right in the 2nd image (using the window for alignment). Comparing the couch location in my 2nd and 3rd families, the couches appear to be in the same spot. I do remember having to adjust one of them several times before I could get it to place against the wall. I hope this helps. smile

Hi

I have had some problems putting things just where I want them too, so I tryed some different options.

I have found that often other things can be in the way.

For example I found to place a rug I have to move every thing into the decorator tab, put down the rug and then put the furniture on top of it. One time I had to move book shelves in the next room. But always Rug down and the other things go mostly where I want them to.

The same with tables, when I moved my table that had the radio on it, I first
put the radio back in the decorator tab, moved my table then put the radio back.

Where I have plants and lights and I want to move furniture. Again I put the plants and lights into decorator tab move the funniture and put the plants and lamps back again.

But there seem to be a few places that you just can not put things.

Hope this is of some help
