I have checked everyday to see if its ready..I just cant wait anymore. please bring it out...Stop working on other stuff and do this first pleeeeease

I just came back after a while of not checking in and, once again, I'm disappointed VF2 isn't available for PC. So I'm pretty much done thinking about it. I'll check back maybe in another year.

They said early 2013 for release and it's almost March. I'm really disappointed, as I honestly can't believe that a PC release wasn't the first tended to.

Bummer.

Although this post is about our Android games, what LadyCFII posted here still very much applies.

We do require all beta tester applicants to sign a legally binding Non-Disclosure Agreement, so you will need to be at least 18 years old to apply. You can fill out our Beta Test Application at the link below. The application form hasn't been updated to include mobile operating systems, so if you would like to beta test games for mobile devices, such as Android or iOS, please include those devices in the "operating system" section or the "personal information" section. Also, be sure to fill out the application fully, as incomplete applications are not considered and will not be entered into our database.

LOL cuddles8 Patience is the name of the game. It is sure to live up to our expectations when it is released and I look forward to playing it.

I don't have any other of the modern gadgets so just wait for the Windows version to come out. Until then my favourites, VF and PT, keep me company and out of mischief!

We really appreciate everyone's interest in our new games, and especially VF2! We're excited about it, too!

I want to post a quick update on everyone's beta test applications. We have received them all, and we will keep your information on file to use whenever we need beta testers for any upcoming beta tests.

We still have a huge number of people on our "waiting list" who have been waiting more than two years for a chance to test a game. We always start our beta tester selections from the oldest applications, and we always fill up a beta test before we can get through the waiting list.

One thing that you can all do to improve the chance that you'll be chosen when the time comes, though, is to make sure that we always have your current email address. You would be surprised at how many people miss out on their opportunity to beta test one of our new games because their invitation email was returned to us as undeliverable.

I'm getting very impatient toward the PC release of VF2!! i'm ready to go buy a IPAD but my husband won't let me! anyone know about how long does it take to test a game.. just curious and again, impatient... thank you LDW to make such wonderfull games that we can dream about the next released ones!! 2 thumbs up!!

Another VF fan here waiting patiently for VF2 for PC! Hurry, please! I need a new VF fix. I miss my peeps but I've raised so many families on VF1 I really need some fresh faces.

I stalk this page also (and faceboook) I am a huge LDW fan I love all their games and I own them all , however I find myself growing weary of the wait for VF2 , and I feel like if it don't come out for PC soon I will just be OVER IT, and I will move on and forget about it , it has been in testing far to long ,aaarrrggg

I totally agree with you Evnstar1.... I cannot wait for V2.... I have purchased every game.... Even my 12 year old daughter is excited for this newer version to be released....

According to a post on the VF Facebook page it'll be out mid-April for PC and Mac, so only a week or so to go! It should be available for Android mid-May.

I don't know if the pricing will be different for Windows/ Mac, but the iOS version is free. Twice zero is still zero.

PC game is always like 19.99$.... trial first then option to buy!
And i hope it will be complete version.... not like the free version that you have to spend money again and again for upgrade!

As much as I would love to give an update here, that's something that Arthur likes to do. When he makes a public announcement, I'll make sure it's posted here as well.

I do want to clear up a few inaccuracies in the speculation that I've seen here, though. The desktop versions (Windows and Mac) of VF2 will operate much like the original Virtual Families did. They will not be based on the "freemium" model that was used for the iOS version. You will purchase the game for one initial purchase price, as we have always done for our desktop games.

Also, Windows 8 is not the same thing as iOS, and apps developed for iOS will not run on any version of Windows 8 (tablet-based or computer). Every platform we develop our games for (Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android) requires a separate version, and we have to undertake a completely separate development effort to port it onto each device family. That's why it takes some time after we release the first version before you see other versions become available. We can't do them all at once like big gaming companies do.

Hi Zia, April 10th is highlighted on the calendar because it's today's date. You saw it last night because of the difference in forum Time Zone settings. If you click on the date you can see who's having a birthday today.

You can change your Time Zone settings in My Stuff >> Preferences. You must be logged in to do so.
