I don't actually know whether the heathens are from the lost civilization as VV5 gives no hints in that direction, plus it has been many generations since the refugees arrived on VV1. In fact, the intro for VV4 says that many generations have passed. So there could be some sort of conflict that happened elsewhere between VV4 and VV5 or between VV3 and VV4.

Last night I converted all my heathens. Then I got an island event about a barrel of babies all of whom were heathens. So that tells me there may be other heathen tribes on other places on Isola.

I <3 biggles, though I wonder how he got invented. Hopefully I'll an event with him soon.

Maybe there will be a final showdown between Biggles and the Guiding Hand, with the fate of all the villagers at stake. How fun would that be to battle Biggles for final control of Isola?

So Biggles is like an evil wizard or something who wants to rule ISOLA? If thats the case it will certainly be an epic fight between good and evil.

There is no violence in LDW games, so that is not Biggles' intended purpose

That is what I love most about LDW's games there is no violence in any of them.
