Biggles is in Island Events in the VV games. Unless you play each game for a very long time, it's unlikely that you will see every event.

In VV3 one of your peeps sees him in the lab, if you have them confront him they lose there memory & if you have them just watch he gives you tech points. In VV4 he either gives you the next level of medicine or the next level of dendrology. I haven't seen him in VV5 yet so I don't know what he does. I think I've seen him in VF too, the event where the mysterious collector comes to the door & offers to buy all your collectables & introduces himself as "Mr. B"...

I'm playing through my 4th time and I've had many new events mentioning Biggles. Some are very exciting making me think we haven't seen the last of him and his true story. This is really, really fun!

I won't post the spoilers I've read here. But in the events I've read about Biggles he tells the children about certain things that have happened on other sides of the island and also warns them about things to come. Interesting!

I just completed the game, and was so disappointed that "Biggles" didn't show up??? I was sure that he would be one of the heathen characters, or at least show up for a "surprise visit" somewhere along the way. What happened to Biggles?
Wow, I hope that Biggles shows up for me sometime. I would love an explanation of just who he is. ;-) Izzy...where did you read those spoilers? I would love to see them. I finished the game once so far, so do not worry about it being a spoiler (for me, anyhow, LOL).

Thanks, VF. I was just thinking that Biggles would "get explained" in this final edition. I never even saw his name on any of the events, but thought that the strange footprints were likely his. Thanks for the post. :-)

Barbara, thanks for posting how to post spoilers. Here's a couple Biggles events I've discovered: Brings news from the another side of the island that the fabled Golden Child has gone missing. Tells the children that until the villagers stop using magic and start to use and appreciate nature more, the island and all villagers will not find the right answers. Those are from memory and not word for word.

Just because we've been on the south, west, north, east, and center of the island doesn't mean we can't have more vv games. I'm sure theres plenty more villages to explore inland and on the beach. We could have games on SW, NW, NE, and SE corners of the island too.
Ok I've played all the VV games and some of theme multiple times, but not once have I seen Biggles lol

Ok I've played all the VV games and some of theme multiple times, but not once have I seen Biggles lol Or we could have it where we have control over the whole island. Maybe even something with a definate end, where the goal is to get them to get off the island or something. Or even something like that where it can still go on where only so many can go at once, but it could never get everyone off. And maybe it'd be Biggles that'd help them! He seems quite good with technology so maybe he could be the one to help them invent something.

after we have camped Isola through maybe villagers build small boat and goto next island and things start from beginning and at 6th game again boat is built etc and on 3rd series villagers finally reach populated area after leaving to boat trip again and all villagers from islands 1-3 are rescued.

Sounds overcomplicated (or maybe too simple?) to do separate games for.
We don't know anything about the sustainability of Isola, but it seems like a huge island, like the size of Hawaii maybe, or bigger. So it should sustain several villages of a few hundred people along with random remnants of the origional inhabitants.

We have some clues. We have the theme of nature versus magic. We have the princess and her doomed romance with a rival tribe's prince. We have the golden child. Now we have the heathens. And the mysterious Biggles. And that all adds to what smjjames posted. Lots of possibilities and things to solve in the future.

He's been around by name since VV2, although there are events that don't mention his name and might be him.
In the VV1 events list, there are one or two events that might have been Biggles, but otherwise his first known appearance is in VV2.

However (VV2 and 3 plot spoilers ahead) , VV2 and 3 tell of an advanced civilization that existed on Isola before the refugees in VV1 arrived. Along with remnants of that civilization scattered around the island. The heathens may or may not be from that lost civilization.

I don't actually know whether the heathens are from the lost civilization as VV5 gives no hints in that direction, plus it has been many generations since the refugees arrived on VV1. In fact, the intro for VV4 says that many generations have passed. So there could be some sort of conflict that happened elsewhere between VV4 and VV5 or between VV3 and VV4.

Last night I converted all my heathens. Then I got an island event about a barrel of babies all of whom were heathens. So that tells me there may be other heathen tribes on other places on Isola.

That is what I love most about LDW's games there is no violence in any of them. Yea, the closest it even gets to violence is the yellow mask heathens chasing the villagers around. Even so, there was a hint of violence at a few points in the storyline.

It would be fun if after a showdown between Biggles and the Guiding Hand if the Guiding Hands wins the villagers set out to find all the other tribes and bring them altogether. Lots of what ifs? Because I love the VV games and don't really want them to have a final ending.

Yeah, I think you are right about the event. Let's pretend the villager was a woman. She saw a face in the bush and it beckoned her.The face was Biggle's face and she fell in love with him but couldn't come back to the village because Biggles is a secret. So she has the choice of marring Biggles and leaving the village or forgetting about him and staying in the village. She chooses the first choice, marries him, has lot's of children and voliá (I think that's how you spell it)! We now have many Biggles carrying on their father's mission and being posted around our various villages. They're even stationed where our virtual families are! So there you have it: my full opinion of what happened! I think.  that could work because in vv3 there is a event were biggles is in the lab and if you villager gose to see who it is they forget who they are

Very creative storyline! Have you considered writing a Fan Fiction story? Glad you like my opinion on why Biggles is seen all over the island! I like the idea of writing a Fan Fiction story and maybe I might do one...someday when I pull myself away from my other stories and go on to a Virtual Villagers one! that could work because in vv3 there is a event were biggles is in the lab and if you villager gose to see who it is they forget who they are Really? I've never had that event myself but that might help add to our 'view' on Biggles!

I think. with the bit where they had kids maybe they were quadruplets [or to sets of twins] so they were identical then when they got old enough biggles sent them of to the different villages

Oh, I didn't mean violence, lol. I meant something more like a mental showdown between Biggles (who I actually like) and the Guiding Hand. No violence, ever. It should be an EPIC staring contest! As a precaution against Biggles cheating, the Guiding Hand should wear sunglasses. If Biggles asks to have them taken off, say you're Scott Summers from X-men and you can't take the glasses off because you'll blast everything with lasers if you do.  I haven't had the VV6 or VV5 event with Biggles yet. I don't know if I like him much. He's responsible for pretty much killing my village in VV2. Since he's so against magic and the parents went to hide all the magical artifacts in VV2, could he be one of them?

I'm going to try to put together Biggles'(and Isola's)History. VV1: Biggles- I think we see Biggles. Isola- The Temple:What is it even for?! The Idol: How did the villagers know what to carve?? The G.C.: What is his purpose, I wonder?! The Cave and Writing: The pictures show 3 things- a man hunting wild boar, a woman gathering crops(I forgot that part.),and people falling down a waterfall. VV2: Biggles- We see an event where he asks to use the research table. You have 2 options: let him or refuse. Isola: The children-...... And so forth. Red- There may be a Mrs. Biggles. Everyone, help me complete this.

As far as i can remember, biggles was a feral child. His aim was to disrupt the villagers way of life.
