I've had a few instances of characters changing names without me doing it:

-in the first instance, one of my female characters took on the same name as a male character (i changed the female's name so i wouldn't confuse them)
-next, the previously mentioned male took on the name of another male character...i left them the same to try and watch for it to happen again, but it didn't
-then a blonde female child named Soda was born (just thought it was funny that her name was soda, lol), later i discovered and older female child's name had also been changed to Soda
-the next time i looked i had two other young females (making a total of four) named Soda

In the instance of the guy who was a duplicated twice, on the details screen he was sandwiched between the two of them (ordered by age).

With the 'Sodas' the original Soda was like 3 people away from the 2nd Soda, but the 3rd & 4th Sodas were right after the 2nd one, respectively...

Anyone seen this before? What's up with that?

This often happens when you scroll through the names too quickly. You'll want to slow down how fast you click through your villagers. (Here is this info in the Support FAQ.) smile

One of the nice features in VV2 is that you can sort your villagers according to Age, Skill, or Health. That might make it a little easier to find who you are looking for without having to move through the list so quickly to find them. grin (You can see the "Sort By" row under the arrows and Likes/Dislikes box.)

As for the 'Sodas,' was the 2nd Soda originally named Soda as well?

Maybe Soda works both ways; like Alex, for example - you have this name both for males and females. smile

Starryphenom, Which one was the original Soda?
Was it the 1st Soda, or the 2nd?
Were any of the following villagers twins or triplets?
