Virtual Families for iPhone and iPod touch

We are pleased to be able show you some previews of Virtual Families for iPhone and iPod touch. We hope to release the game late this month on the iTunes App Store. Thanks so much to all of you for your tremendous support of LDW and Virtual Families for Windows and Mac!

I think it is just amazing how you guys can take an entire game and fit it on an Ipod Touch/ Iphone.

As if I didn't want an iPhone bad enough already!

A word of caution- Apple can, and quite likely will, sit on the game for several days before releasing it to the Apps Store. They have to carry out their own checks first. Don't expect to see it the day after it's sent to Apple!

I just wanna know if it will be likely,to be released in the begining on June maybe?. Cos' like arnie said they have to do aprovals and they might release it in the Apps Store, like 3 days or 2 after?

Sorry! <evil grin> I am in a really boring three week training class and am bored out of my mind, my VV2 can pretty much run itself now, I hate to delete it just to start over since I can't have more than one game on my iPhone, but I am almost to that point!

I, too, have been checking several times a day looking for it. I just started playing VF (have Fish Tycoon, VV1, 2, and 3 for iPod) and like the PC version.

Is it out yet?

I've still got a bit of patience left in me. I havent actually played VF in several weeks though. But that'll make playing it on my iPhone that much more exciting.

I don't have a iPhone or an iPod touch, but I am very happy to see VF getting out on different platforms! (Maybe for a DS?)

It might be well-suited for DS and Wii, but that could be asking too much.

I have both a DS and Wii, so that would work out fairly well for me I've never had a cellphone of any kind

I read the recent Twitter about Virtual Families being available in the iTunes Store for a limited time @ $1.99 for the full version. I have VF for the Mac and was wanting to get it for the PC. Is the version in the iTunes Store only for iPhone or is it also PC compatible?

I bought Plant Tycoon there earlier this week and now I'm wondering if I'm going to have the same problem. I had intended to run it )PT) on the Mac.

All applications that are available on the iTunes App Store are only for iPhone and iPod touch. None of those apps (including our games) will run on either Mac or Windows computers.

Where did you purchase the Mac version of Virtual Families? If it was directly from us, you will be interested in this answer in our Support FAQ.

I'm not sure how you purchased Plant Tycoon from the iTunes Store, since the only LDW games that are available there as of this moment are Fish Tycoon, VV2, and Virtual Families. There is also the mobile version of VV1 (developed by Vivendi/Big Fish Games), which is not the same as our Mac/Windows version of VV1.

Oops, I meant I bought Fish Tycoon at the iTunes Store. Guess I won't be able to play it then. I do have the Mac demo to try out though. I purchased VF right here at LDW. Thanks for the link to the FAQ page, I know I am interested.

looks like people are having trouble saving the game...

That is an issue that a very small percentage of people seem to have, and only when they purchase and install VF from the device, rather than iTunes. Although we haven't experienced that issue here at LDW, I worked out a solution and placed an answer in our FAQ to help people who are having that problem. Unfortunately, many people don't appear to use the support url contained in the VF listing on the iTunes App Store.

Maybe someone should post a comment telling them how to remedy the problem It also looked like people liked the game, so that's good

my ipod touch has the bestest app ever on it!!!!!

Me to Lyss! Although my Dad locked away the Wii and isn't a fan of VF, I still have my DS and Christmas presents on my team.
