[SPOILER] Puzzle 3 Issue

Hey,
I am having an issue with getting the scarecrow built. I have level 2 in Farming, exploration, science and engineering, Level 1 in everything else. When I place the master farmer at the place with the rocks and vines, it says that he could make a scarecrow with these materials then it says he's confused and additional research may be necessary. I have already built the dam and my villagers are starving...I've already had to restart once because they all died and I don't want to do that again...can anyone help??

You should just be able to drop an Adept or Master farmer on the vines (the rocks are not involved in this puzzle), and they should begin building the scarecrow. This map shows the location (but be warned that it's a major spoiler for everything that needs to be done in the game).

I know the rocks are not involved, but I keep dropping the master farmer on it and nothing happens except for the messages I mentioned above...that's the issue. Could it be a bug?

Has the farm started producing crops yet? They don't need the scarecrow until they have crops.

Well, it's trying to but the birds keep eating the crops before they can be harvested. I may have gotten one crop harvested but that's it

I have never seen any bugs involving the scarecrow in more than 2 years of testing VV2, and neither have any of our testers. There must be an explanation, but without actually seeing your game, I'm not sure what it would be. Do you have another farmer that you can try?

I've tried both of them...I think I will just start over and see if it fixes itself somehow...most of my villagers have died anyway.
