[SPOILER] chief

how do I get a person to be the chief. I have had all of my villagers try it on and it says it does not fit. Does the villager have to have NO talents?

did you try children? in my second tribe my chief is a 3 year old child

If you have a nursing mom, you may need to wait a bit until she's finished nursing.

just had to try all of the villagers and it eventually allowed one to wear the robe and be chief.

ok I'm a little concerned here, I was at the point of using my builders for the statue, with my Chief's help (u people that have done this understand what I'm talking about), when unfortunately my Chief passed away due to old age. I have 50 in my population with no nursing mothers at all at the moment, I have tried from my 72 yr oldest worker to my last 2 yrs old, to become my new Chief and nobody wil fit the robe..finishing the statue at this time seems impossible, if I can't find my new Chief...has this happen to anyone else...please let me know..Thanx Liz

Try again, your chief is in there. To make sure you try everyone, go to your detail screen, select your oldest or youngest, then click out of the detail screen, that villager will be highlighted, try the robe. Go back to the detail screen, click over to the next villager, close detail screen, try robe. Do this until you cycle around to the first villager again. I believe before you get to the first one again, you'll find your new chief.
With 50 villagers, it's tough to make sure you try everyone.

Thanks for answering my question so quickly CaliLilac, I did as u suggested and there she was in between everyone my new chief, but Im sure I had tried her before..Ohh! well work is on again that's the main thing...now if I could only keep them there long enough to finish it quickly, I know that while I left them working as I came back into the forum, they have gone on there little walkies again to relax in the bath, or looking at the fishies or do the laundry one thing or another oh well such is life on Isola...thanks again

You know, when trying for my first chief I ended up trying the same person again, and then found the chief, so I think there are some instances when the first go around does not net the chief. Not sure if this is a _bug_ or a feature of the game to make it more challenging!!
