Wow Kathy! Love the beds! And the totems in the toys are just adorable! I wanted to do different table and chairs too, but my daughter likes the ones in the room. My next go around with the kids' room is going to look a lot different. Quick question for you Kathy. How did you get the beautiful satin look? I have tried and can't quite get it right! Thanks all! And OkieD, mine wouldn't have happened without yours. My daughter saw yours and decided she loved it, but wanted one underwater instead of on the beach.

New beds!! How frustrating was that? Looks awesome and I love the murals in both rooms. I want the answer to the satin look also. I had to send my lamps to Lewanda to get them shiny. Cute cute!!

My daughter saw yours and decided she loved it, but wanted one underwater instead of on the beach. That brings back some (old) memories! The first wallpaper in my bedroom as a kid was an underwater scene, with lots of fishes swimming around. I loved it.

I just loved! Both bedrooms actually! Kissy's bedroom will be in my next house, for sure!

Thanks Arnie and Moonlyght! Arnie, the underwater thing was my fascination as a kid as well. I guess I passed that on to my oldest. Moonlyght, you're so sweet! I have pasted your willow tree and faery statue into every mod change to my yard. I'm honored you would use my room.

Hello all, thanks for your positive comments. I'd started the room after OkieD had first shown us a preview of hers and then her computer broke down for a few weeks. The satin look was done with Photoshop. There's a satin option in the Layer Properities/Format menu (along with drop shadows, bevels, etc).
The toys were from BayouBlonde's tropical kids room. I loved how she had used VV2 items. The flooring was made from BayouBlonde's stone flooring that I have in my peeps bathroom. When I saw OkieD's kids table and stools in her kids room I wanted them in mine too!
The beds each are made up of about 8 layers (not counting the bedding). I made a rail and then adjusted as needed to go around the beds. Originally I was trying hammock-like beds made from nets but just couldn't get it to look right.
Moonlyght, my favorite pool of your is the natural swimming pool. My peeps have had it every since you made it!
