An Only Child & The orphan

Frella was an only child and always longed for a baby brother or sister to play with. Mom and dad who were Teresa and Gregu also wanted more children, but no matter how hard they tried for a baby never happened. So they decided that little Frella was a real blessing. She had lovely blonde-reddish hair that was very curly and mom used to tie it back in 2 lovely pigtails.

The Beginnings of Teresa’s life.

The ups and downs
Teresa was adopted child from the second generation. Her parents were in their 50ties when they found her on their doorstep and decided to adopt her. Her new parents were called Mary and Mark. They all ready had 3 children and little Teresa was welcomed to the family. Teresa was the baby of the family and was always spoilt. Maybe this was the wrong thing to do, as she would be alone in the house and would have to defend for herself from an early age. Maybe this is one of the reasons she failed to have more children after Frella. Teresa knew what it was like to be alone and the thought of leaving the youngest child in the house after they were gone is something she did not want them to go through. Gregu could understand her feelings and did not pursue her.

Teresa’s Dad Mark died first he was in his 60tis when he died she was then just 8 years old. She could not understand why he was gone as she would go out to look for him every day, saying 'where is daddy?’

Her older brother Habit had to calm her down and tell her that daddy had gone to haven.
‘Where is Heaven?
Habit explained best he could. I think heaven is a very big place where there is a very large beach and lots of fruit trees that grow and every one that goes there are very happy’
‘Like that picture on the bedroom walls that is called Isola?’ Teresa asked
‘Yes exactly.’ Habit said.
‘I want to go there one day.’
Habit was 14 then.

A few years later and when she had got over her father’s death her older brother left to go to collage. He promised to keep writing to her and she knew he would. At the age of 13 her mom Mary died and Teresa stayed by her side and she could see her spirit rise waving good buy. Teresa pleaded for her not to die, and then she heard her mom’s last words. You must look after yourself and keep in touch with your family, you will never be alone, and as our guarding hand will make sure you’re well prepared for. Keep in touch with your guiding hand and tell her how you feel’. Then she died peacefully.

Teresa ran off to hide as she did not want any one to see she was crying. She cried and cried She knew her guiding hand was watching and but decide to find another place to hide and she ran behind the shed. Teresa kept saying, I’m only 13, I want my daddy and forgetting that her dad had died many years ago, went looking for him. Then a strange thing happened her guiding hand offered her a mint candy and she started to feel better.

With the help of her guiding hand she got over her lost of her parents and she sent emails to her older siblings and even though she felt lonely in a large house there was always the internet and Teresa started to spend more time now chatting on line. The worst times were at night as she had no one to talk to. The family’s cat kept her company and always slept with her on the bed.

Teresa remained living in the house and she was lucky that her parents left enough money in the bank to live on. She did her lessons on line for school and did her projects. She would like to do something for computers to find the best way of getting rid of spam and create programmes that could detect spam and spy ware.

When she was over 18 Teresa left to go to collage and found the type of work she wanted to do and that was to become a spammer. The house was now ready for the next generation. This is when Teresa’s guiding hand decided to adopt Teresa to take over the house at the age of 23.

Teresa had a good look round the house after been away from it since she left at the age of 18. It looked a mess and since her parents died and the house had not been lived in for awhile. Teresa wanted to finish collage before returning after her guiding hand had adopted her to live in the house. So several years want by in a flash according to her guiding hand. Yet to Teresa in realty it was a long time. She noticed that there were some cobwebs growing over the sink and she jumped up to clean off the cobwebs, and thought that’s better. Then she decided to send an email to player to tell her how she felt of feeling lonely without a partner and that it was sometimes hard to find the right person.

We will call the guiding hand AD as her initials not to revile her real name. Only Teresa knew her real name and any one who lived in the house. Teresa sent the email and AD read it and thought that if a compatible partner comes along and Teresa AD knew that Teresa would show her the email to see if he was suitable. Then suddenly an email started to flash up on the screen and Teresa all in her excitement opened to read the email and it was an only a neighbour who was looking outside her attic window to tell her there was a rare collectable in her garden. Teresa was a bit disappointed it was not a proposal of marriage. AD helped Teresa to look for the rare collectable and it was part of a picture and she added it to the frame in the cabinet.

Teresa was beginning to wonder if she ever fined that partner as still no sign of that awaited email. She kept going to check her emails and found nothing but only junk mail. Then suddenly an email flashed upon the screen and she just dared hoped this was it. Teresa looked to see what the email would be was it a proposal of marriage or not.

Teresa excitedly opened the email and it was what she had hoped a marriage proposal. The males name was Gregu and he was 25 years old. He had mid brown hair and his chosen career was pasta makers so he would be spend more time cooking in the kitchen, he was perfect and she accepted him straightaway.

Gregu was due to arrive on Friday and the marriage would take place in part of the kitchen.

Teresa was so excited and nervous at the same time and she kept wondering if he would still like her when he arrived. She kept running to the bathroom to check her make up and to brush her hair. Then she heard the doorbell and she gives herself a one more check in the mirror before answering the door. Gregu greeted her with a rose and she had a cake that she already baked. The wedding took place in the kitchen and many of the guests unseen by AD. That’s the way it was. They danced all night the wedding was really great as Gregu wrote the email telling AD all about it.

Teresa wanted a child and Gregu and Teresa both tried for a baby that did not happen yet. It would be 3 years before they would have there first child.

Lives want on as normal but Teresa was still longing for a baby as each time they tried, Teresa and Gregu were disappointed. So the next time they tried they started to argue saying, ‘it’s not time to make a baby yet. Maybe it is too soon. If they wait a bit longer might be successful. Teresa decided to work on her career and over a number of years she worked very hard and got a promotion to level 3 in her career and was now earning more money. Gregu and Teresa celebrated Teresa’s promotion in the kitchen. A few months later Gregu got promotion in his job and once again celebrated.

Teresa was now age 28 and Gregu was now age 29 and they thought they would try again for a baby. Will they be successful have to wait and see?

Teresa and Gregu tried for a baby and give birth to a wonderful little girl. She had beautiful blue eyes and lovely blonde-reddish hair that was very curly and mom used to tie it back in 2 lovely pigtails. They celebrated the birth of Frella. Frella loved to dance and kept every one entertained.

Talent scout spots Frella

Frella was dancing and playing in the garden and a talent scout who was looking for a child star that he wanted to star in a production he was making and he noticed Frella and thought she would be right for the part. He thought she was the right age as he wanted a three year old. He went up to Frella and asked her if she would like to be a star and she said yes. ‘Then would you ask your parents to see me.’
Frella said ‘yes.’ And Teresa and Gregu came to the door and was surprise it was that famous actor they had seen on TV and they asked for his autograph and he gladly signed his autograph. It was Obi with the red hair and as soon as he asked if their daughter could star in a production he was making and they said ‘If she wants to she can.’
‘I want to please, please, please mommy and daddy please!!?’
‘Okay’ said Teresa, ‘but I’m not sure about this she is only 3 years old.’
Obi said ‘She be well looked after and we have plenty of child minders on board and if she gets homesick she can come home anytime. The only thing is she won’t have time to write home much as she will be very busy in between shots.’
We ask AD and see what she says’.
‘Yes that’s a good idea and tell her we pay $500 in the bank account and that might encourage her to accept the offer.’ Obi said.
‘I do that.’ Gregu said and AD got the massage and Gregu came back and said ‘AD said yes.’

Frella help her mom and dad to pack her case and she packed her favourite teddy. As Frella left with Obi to stardom there were tearful goodbyes from her parents and Frella called out from the car window, ‘I send you emails every day to tell you how I’m getting on.’

A few days later Teresa and Gregu was beginning to feel regret letting their daughter go as when they tried to have a baby could not. They realised that they could not have any more children now. Teresa was reading the paper looking for news about her daughter in the celebrity pages and noticed a headline, not about her daughter. The headline said “VILLAGERS FLEA FROM VOLCANO FIRE”
‘Gregu have you read this look.’ Teresa called out
‘What? Gregu from the kitchen. Called back
Teresa called out, ‘come and read this you find out it’s not good.’
Gregu came running from the kitchen saying. ‘Not about Frella is it.’
‘No look read this.’ Teresa handed the newspaper to Gregu.
‘Oh no, Gregu continued to read and the rest read:

Many of the villagers feared dead only 7 villagers survived 3 children that lost their parents in the fire and 4 adults managed to get away in a small boat.

We would like any who would like to help those that have fled from the fire and if any one that would adopt some of these villagers and help them to build a new home. We would appreciate any donations that any one can give to help these villagers. Go on line to the address below or send an email.

Teresa said. ‘We must help these people. They need are help and support, I can be their guiding hand!
‘Right’, Gregu said ‘I’ll check this website and see what we can do to help them’.

Teresa and Gregu browsed the web and found where the surviving villagers want and Teresa recognised the island they had landed on by the pictures on the wall it was Isola and Teresa said ‘Hay look at them they don’t know what to do.’
‘Let me look, ‘I see a berry bush, can’t they see the berry bush.’
‘Yes, but you got to teach them to forage them otherwise they go hungry’ Teresa explained. Teresa picked up a villager on the screen and was surprise that it said ‘Hay’ Then Teresa put him on the berry bush. Teresa said ‘Hey don’t shake your head at me saying no otherwise you go hungry.’
Gregu said. ‘You got to keep encouraging them.’
I know, I know and moved him onto the berry bush again and then Teresa said wow he has improved at farming as she saw her villager had a bowl full of berries. After Teresa stayed with her villagers for an hour encouraging them to do the usual tasks such as researching, building and even Teresa was delighted to have solved the first puzzle. Gregu called out to Teresa saying, leave them now your dinners on the table. Come and have it before it goes cold. Teresa Quitted the game and went to have her dinner.

Then later they watched TV together and saw her daughter on TV staring with Obi she looked so lovely and Teresa felt tears coming down her face she was so proud of her.

Teresa was upset when she discovered her favourite villager had died. She want running to Gregu crying, ‘Paco has died, oh why did I not buy level 3 of medicine instead of construction Paco would of lived that little longer.’
Gregu said Oh Teresa it’s only a game and people do die’.
Teresa said stunned,’ what only a game!!? They are my villagers and I failed to look after them and now Paco has died.
‘Okay I’m sorry I just don’t want you getting upset over a game’, Gregu explained stunned at her anger.
‘I know you don’t understand, and they are like children to me’.

Gregu was beginning to wonder that she was taking consonance with this game in place of not been able to have children. Gregu was beginning to worry about her, but was not sure what to do. Suddenly he heard the ding dong and it was an email. The email was from Frella asking about them and that she missed them and told them she was having a good time. Since she had no time to do much cooking she often went to the nearby restaurant to eat. The food there was very good. Then at the end she wrote when were they going to come out for a visit her. Frella also attached a recent photo of her and Gregu and Teresa realised she was really grownup and more lovelier than ever.

Teresa thought it was a good idea to go and visit her sometime and Gregu agreed as she was their an only child.

‘Bored, bored, bored’ complained Frella, ‘I’m so bored with hanging around, I want something to exciting to happen in my life’.
‘Why don’t you send an email to your parents? I’m sure they would like to hear from you’, her roommate said.
‘My parents, oh I can’t remember what they looked like it’s been so long and I don’t think they want to know. As they are busy with their own lives’.
Frella’s roommate was the same age at 15 and her name was Roselyn and she had jet black hair and dark brown eyes to go with it. Said, Go on Frella send them an email and you could post them a recent photo attached to it.’
‘Okay and maybe I could invite them to come, that’s if they can find the time to leave the house.’ Frella was trying to be funny and not succeeding.
‘That’s a good idea.’ Roselyn said.
Frella took up Roselyn’s idea and sent the email and later got a reply back saying they would love to come and visit her.

Teresa and Gregu made arrangements to come and visit in two weeks time starting out on a Friday. Frella got the spare room made up in the flat she was living in. Her Mom and dad arrived Friday afternoon and Frella welcomed them with mixed emotional feelings. She laughed and cried as she hugged them Mom was crying her eyes out seeing her daughter all grown up and even more beautiful. Frella was shocked that her parents did not have any more children after she left home at the age of 3 with Obi. Frella showed her parents to the room they be sleeping in and her parents thought it was small, but very nice. Frella made them a meal and they celebrated through the evening.

The following day Frella and Roselyn took them on tour of the TV studios where she was working and they also had the chance to meet all the cast and most of all having a long talk and entertainment with Obi.

Later Frella told her parents that she was now studying to become a computer Engineer.
‘That’s good, I’m glad you’re training to be a computer Engineer, you should get good money for that.’ Gregu said. What inspired me was you mom showing me what viruses could do to your computer and as you’re a spammer I decided to go on the same type of career!!’
‘That’s good you need a job later in life to work from home, as you know you be next in line to take over the house after we gone.’
‘Oh go away mom you live forever. Come on mom and dad I know a great place for entertainment not far from here.’

Frella and Gregu had a good time and were so entertained by Obi who got on stage telling lot of jokes and there were other acts such as singing and some pop groups. Later in the evening there was a disco that they dance well into the night. Near the end of the night there was a draw and Teresa won a basket of fresh fruit and vegetable. Teresa and Gregu were made up with the food as they did not have much money to buy the more expensive organic foods at the moment.

Gregu and Teresa after staying with their daughter two weeks made their tearful good buys and wished Frella good luck with her exams and hope that she would succeed in all her exams.

Teresa and Gregu got back to their usual routine and Teresa was glad to be home and then she suddenly remembered her villagers on her game, did she remember to pause it and hurried to her computer.

Teresa was playing Virtual Villagers and was surprised her village population had 100. She wondered how that happened and she even delighted that one of her villagers had died at the age of 115 that was a record. Considering she had forgotten to pause her game, this must have been a glitch of something. Teresa began to realised that villagers only die when the player logs on. This is the reason why her population was so high and maybe the clever little villagers to make sure they survived with out her had as many babies as possible. On the other hand Teresa knew that her villagers could only hold out for so long, as when the parent dies they would need a guiding hand to teach anther villager about parenting. A part from that they could survive on their own. Teresa knew once she taught one male villager to be a parent she could leave her villagers for at least a whole week and then go back to train another parent. Teresa discovered there were two more Virtual villager games and a 4th one was t.b.a after she browsed the LDW web site. Then Teresa went on to chat on line on the shout box on the right side of the screen. just as her guiding Hand logged in. AD interrupted her by making her tidy up the house. Teresa felt ashamed spending so much time on her computer So she sent an email to AD. To explained why the house was untidy. She put:

Hello AD

Hey where have you been we feel neglected? I waste so much time on the internet. Oh not writing to you is a waste of time of course. Thanks for your help. I have to go now.

Teresa felt better after sending that hoping that excuse why the house was so untidy. Teresa got herself busy then doing the laundry, cleaning the nightstand that AD praise her for. “All things in its place” Later AD got her to water the flowers in the window. After doing the entire she felt so tired she could hardly keep her eyes open. So she took a nap to find that Gregu was taking a nap in her favourite place on the settee. She just shakes her head, but did not have the heart to wake him, so she had to sleep on the arm chair.

Frella’s Journal
I remember when I was just 3 years old and my mom use to tell me stories and she told me she was an orphan taken into this big house. She was taken in by some very nice family. I remember finding this red ball and it was fun to play with when the guiding hand was not around. I was not allowed to play with it as it belonged to the guiding hand and only played with this red ball when she was not around. Sometimes I use to hide it and when the guiding hand logged in she could not find it and then she would make a new ball appear. I don’t know how she did it but she did.

When I was 3 this man who was someone I seen on TV. I was so excited when he wanted me to star in his show, I ran to my parents begging them I wanted to go. I always wanted to be a film star ever since I could remember and this was my only chance and I always remember mom saying. Never miss an opportunity when it’s handed to you. I remember pleading with them to go and after awhile they decided to let me go. Even though they were a bit upset about letting me go they knew I would be well looked after.

After I got into a car that took us to the studios, I was amazed about how big the whole place seemed Obi took me to meet the other kids my age at a nursery and I met the nanny who was to look after us. The nanny was very nice and was only 19 years old. She had curly ash blond hair and was always seemed to be smiling I liked her straight away. We called her Nanny Rose. Rose was her name.

Obi told me that I was to take part in a new production he was making and I would only work for 3 hours a day, as I was too young to work any longer and the 3 hours would be split up during the day. I did not have many lines to say, but all I had to do was dance in parts. I soon leant the steps and enjoyed working with Obi. Obi was very dedicated to his job and I knew he expected us to do the same, but at the same time he made it like so much fun.

Forgot to add in my dairy what the production was called. It was called: Little Baby Swan and I were playing the part of a family and in it I am exploring and I discover an abandon baby swan and would look after it. Of cause the swan was a trained bird and very tame and I was often allowed to stroke its feathers. It uses to take food from my hand.

The team trained many animals and I use to visit the places that many of the animals lived. Most of them were rescued animals that would not be able to survive in the wild. They even sometimes rescued animals that were sick or injured and as soon as they were fit would then released them back into the wild. This was Obi’s idea as he hated to see animals in pain and that when he made a rescue animal centre for sick and injured animals. Most of the profits he made after paying his staff went towards the animal rescue.

I later made friends with other children and this is where I met Roselyn who was the same age as me and strangely enough we shared the same birthday and so we hit it off together, we became friends for life. Roselyn and I on our 4th birthday shared blowing out the candles that the grownups had arranged. We had lots of fun and games.

A few years later when I was age 10 I was sitting and waiting to be called to do my part in another production. I was reading a comic book, when I thought I could smell something burning. Nanny Rose and some of the other adults actors came running towards me calling out run to the fire exits a fire has broke out and Nanny Rose grabbed hold of my hand and dragged me to the nearest exit. Nanny Rose was like my guiding hand who would give us what we needed and this day was our hero as she rescued every person she could find and took them out side. I could not see Roselyn and I wondered if she was still trapped inside where the fire was. Nanny Rose realised someone was missing and want back into the building in search of Roselyn.

Frella’s journal

I stood out side the building what seemed like an age, then I saw Nanny Rose just leaving the building and she was struggling to get her breath and at the same time I could see she was carrying Roslyn. Roselyn seemed to be unconscious, then she began to come round as Nanny Rose handed her some water. It turned out that Roselyn was in the kitchen when the fire broke out and it was the oven that exploded and she was knocked for six. Luckily enough no harm had come to her as she was on the other side of the kitchen. Just to be on the safe side they took her to the nearest hospital to get checked over. The ambulance team checked her over and took her to the hospital and I came with her. Roselyn kept complaining that she was alright and tried to refuse to go. I told her to go just to be on the safe side. In the end she grudgingly agreed.

After a few hours in the hospital mostly waiting to be seen, it turned out she only had a slight concussion and a couple of pain killers was prescribed for her headache, and she just had a few bruisers on her where she had landed when she fallen, but apart from that she was fine. I was very please that Roselyn was no worst for tare and thanked the doctors and consultants for their help.

For several weeks there was no kitchen as the fire had done a lot of damaged and the oven had to be disposed as it was unsafe according to the health and safety inspectors and they would not allow any one near the kitchen area as it was cordoned off by black and yellow type. The usual safety measure that inspectors use after an accident.

The whole working team had to eat at a nearby restaurant or cafe or some brought in their own launch.

Several weeks later the black and yellow tape was removed and we were all greeted to a brand new kitchen with all the mod cons etc. Gone was the old leaky sink and in place was a double drainer sinks and the new oven was much bigger than the old one. All this came out of the insurance company. It was a good job that Obi had drawn up insurance and kept up the payments, otherwise none of this would have happened. I was for the first time as a 10 year old allowed using the oven to heat up some food as the controls on the oven had now implanted safely measures and was safe for children. This was like the oven back home in the house.

I was only 23 years old and was now been at collage for a few years now. I remember the day will when I decided to go and study at collage and Roselyn had decided to stay working at the TV position as she wanted to be a director. We had a farewell party and she begged me not to go as I had always been a good friend. I promised to stay in touch. I said to her. ‘You never know, you might be adopted one day into the big house’.
Roselyn said, Take care and don’t forget to keep in touch with your emails, I always look forward to them.’
As I was getting in the taxi to the collage, I could not help feeling upset leaving Roselyn and starting crying my eyes out, I realised how much I was going to miss her as she had been a good friend.

Oh where was I, yes I was 23 years old and was finishing my exams, when I got news of my parents had passed away and the email said that, which I was to be adopted to take over the house. As I had not quite finished collage I needed time, not only that but given time to get over the death of my parents. I wanted to be in a better mind. I knew that I had to be ready to take over the house as I knew that AD was anxious for someone to live in the house. I was the only one available been an only child. AD needed to keep the house generations going or it was game over. That is how AD could see it.

Frella decided to accept been adopted into the house as her mom would of expected her to. As she ran trough the gate and though the entrance of the house, she forgot how large the house was, however everything looked smaller the last time she lived here with her parents. The office had been refurbish and had a new shredder for the waste and as she checked out the kitchen it was all been modernised. The only thing that still looked a bit shabby was the workshop. There were still not enough funds in the bank to complete the upgrades for the workshop. Her parents had kept the place tidy. But the garden had overgrown with weeds as it had been awhile that any one had lived here. Frella had to finish collage to have a degree in engineering to have a career at home.

After checking the house she then went to examine the foundations of the house. Frella did not want to live alone and signed up to the dating agency that her parents used and all generations before that was recommended by some company name LDW. They had a good repetition and of finding the right partner and never let you down. Frella put in her details and now all she had to do is wait.

Frella was surprise that the following day she got a reply and it was a proposal. His name was Logor and he had strawberry blond very fine hair cut short to his head. Frella saw that he was a dental tool maker and he wanted children. Frella had to think weather to except the proposal or not. She asked AD what you think reject him or except the proposal. Frella needed to be sure. ?
