The Shout Box is a feature of our forums that allows members of our community to chat with each other in real time. We want the Shout Box to be a place where people can get to know each other and LDW better (we think of everyone here as part of our LDW family). The Shout Box is a small, virtual family room, where people can pull up a chair and their favorite beverage and talk about life and LDW games. It should be a place where newbies are welcomed into the family and everyone feels comfortable joining in the conversation.

To help accomplish that goal, we have established the following rules for the Shout Box:

1. All Shout Box conversation must adhere to our Forum Rules , which cover general rules of conduct for the forums. Please click on the link and read our forum rules if you have not yet done that.
2. No game spoilers are allowed in the Shout Box. Game spoilers must be posted in the appropriate game forum and be properly tagged as spoilers in the subject line.
3. No disruptive posting is allowed in the Shout Box. Disruptive posting is anything that gets in the way of normal conversation. Humor is fine, disruption is not.
4. No monopolizing the Shout Box with such things as role-playing games.

If anyone is uncertain about what constitutes "family friendly" conversation, you can read our Guidelines for Fan Fiction, which contain detailed information about what is allowed in an E for Everyone context.

To report a problem in the Shout Box, perform the following steps:

1. Copy the contents of the shout box to preserve the conversation (use your cursor to highlight the messages in the shout box and use Ctrl-C for Windows or Command-C for Mac). Make sure to copy the user's names, so that we know who was involved in the conversation.
2. Click on one of the moderator's names at the bottom of this page, and then click "Send a Private Message" from their profile.
3. Paste the copied Shout Box conversation into the body of the message and add your own comments about the conversation, if desired.
4. Click Submit.

Your report will be sent to the moderator in a private message, so that they can see the conversation that concerned you and take appropriate action. Thank you for helping us keep the Shout Box open and enjoyable for everyone.
