WHat herbs do I use to get the sharks away, and how do I get the potion to the water?

It depends upon which faction you've chosen for your tribe. You can see a list of all potions for both factions here in the VV3 Guides. Just drop a villager on the potion when it's finished and they will take it from there.

~you need to have restored the lab

NATURE FACTION:
black orchid, black orchid, pitcher plant

MAGIC FACTION:
rose bush, rose bush, golden berries
