I have seen on lots of game websites, the description of Escape from Paradise often mentions VV. They say that Escape From Paradise has beat Virtual Villagers, and that it is easier to play, faster and better, like at this link.
I love Virtual Villagers 1, 2 and 3 and think that Escape from Paradise is too arcadish for me, but do you think it's too arcade like for other people. Has Escape from paradise overtaken VV, or are we still on top? I hate to see that people are putting VV down, but then again they are just descriptions, trying to get people to buy the game.

but, VV! they think it beat it, but it is not! there is still hope; People would not like to escape from paradise. the fun of that game is nothing but beating, and VV is beating and has more fun. VV3! VV3! VV3! VV3! VV2! VV2! VV2! VV2! VV! VV! VV! VV! give a ode to VV!

I have played EFP (escape from paradise) there is no comparison, VV games are much more sophisticated and well made that I deleted the EFP from my puter for being over rated junk. I love arcade games, but not in that sort of format.

i've play it too , but VV more better. I love arcade game , VV more easy and I love VV! and the other LDW gsme!!

I think people prefer EFP because VV goes too slow for them. It goes slow, so they change the system clock. When they change the system clock they very rarely get island events, their crops stuff up, food is eaten faster and their villagers get off task. Then they think that it's not such a great game and play EFP. Thats my guess.

No offense but I think you're all taking this to seriously.They're two completely different games.I've tried EFP before and I have to say while it's decent and fun,it gets old pretty quickly.In VV you actully explore the island,make villager familys,and solve fun and interesting puzzles.Maybe it's just because I like simulation games more than aracde ones,but I like VV better and I don't think people are saying EFP is better than the VV series,I think it's they're just comparing them a bit.But this is just my opinon.

I played EPP once, many months ago. Nothing there to make me want to play it again. Lacks the character of VV

I love vv and own them all i don't currently own Escape from paradise but i have played it i think vv has alonger playing time but i do like escape from paradise alot i don't think they can compare because they are totally diffrent in my view.

I read the reviews of EFP, but nothing in them convinced me to spend all night downloading it. I will say that Prissy Poodle is partially right. Nothing in the description from the developers or the promoters says one game is better than the other. They pretty much all point to a similarity, I suppose thinking that if you like one you'll like the other. This is true to a large degree.

I say partially right, because the reviews by players does tend to claim it is better than VV. Most of these claims are based on the fact that game play in EFP is fast, whereas in VV it is real time play. I've also seen some VV reviews that claim it's better than EFP because it is more challenging, and, because you interact more with the villagers.

To me, this is kind of like trying to compare Apples and Oranges. Yes, both are a fruit; come from a tree; are sweet and most people who like one will like the other. Oranges make a great treat; a great juice; a great preserve and a great glaze or icing. But let's face it. When was the last time you ate a piece of orange pie; orange cake; used an orange in stuffing; used orange juice as the base to sweeten other juices; made a vinegar out of an orange, etc etc etc.

The apple is vastly more versatile, and, in the long run is much more enjoyable. In my opinion, VV is an apple compared to EFP with it's brief, yet enjoyable, burst of flavor.
