Virtual Villagers - The Secret City™
Comic Strip Contest

Guess what time it is? It is time, once again, for another LDW sponsored contest! This contest is going to be fun and the prizes are great. In this contest, we would like to see you put together a VV3 comic strip. That's right, a comic strip, centered around your little villagers from Isola's north shore.

How to participate:

• Take a screen shot or make your own drawing of the game, adding captions or other amusing content of your little villagers.
• Tell a mini story about VV3 in a cartoon format.
• Attach your screen shot to this thread. Instructions on how to do this are posted HERE.
• Dialogue or thought bubbles are not required.
• Please follow all LDW forum rules and posting guidelines.

Rules for the contest:

• You may submit up to 3 entries. If you should submit more than three comics, anything after the third one will not be considered and may be removed from the contest. So choose wisely.
• Your comic strip should not be more than 6 panels long. It can be as little as 1 panel long but definitely not more than 6.
• The contest will end at 12:01 AM, PDT, on August 1, 2008. To find out what time Pacific Time is, go towards the top of any forum page and follow these steps.
• Click on "My Stuff" and then on "My Preferences".
• Towards the bottom of the page, locate "Current server time is:".
• Subtract 1 hour from that time and you will have Pacific time.
• All entries will be judged by the LDW staff members and the winners will be announced on or before August 7, 2008.

2nd and 3rd place winners will have their choice of any gear from LDW's office (T-shirts, mugs, notebooks, or whatever stuff we can find around the office!)

A comic strip is just a picture or a series of pictures that tell a story. It can be serious in nature or it can be humorous. If you would like to get an idea of what a comic strip for Virtual Villagers would look like, try going here and see some that were made before VV3's release.

I love doing comic strips, I will get working on 1 as soon next week.

Well, this is an animation and it's my first entry. There's no dialogue. I literally spent about 3 hours making it. I'm proud of my work

This Comic is titled Chief It's about girls who regret when male chiefs come along. (Featuring characters from Rain Day!)

This is my 2sd pic. 1 more to do. When I saw all these villagers leaving the lab this give me an idea why they were walking out and quickly took the screen shot and enter it. It's called villagers on strike.

Here my last comic no 3 this villager seemed to be stuck. I got this idea.

Here is my first contribution to the contest. This villager has been stuck on top of the hut since she popped out of her "cocoon"! Enjoy!

I Yaro have a most unusal problem. I have the five most beautiful women in my village living under my roof.It all began when the Guidling Hand blessed my life with Noaha.
Noaha, the Chief's daughter had the chose of any man. And she chose me to be her husband. I had loved her since we were children and always hoped she would love me back.
One month after we were wed, Noaha and I learned we would have a baby. But then it turned out that the Guidling Hand was going to bless my wife Noaha and I with triples.
Three babies? I aske the Guiding Hand. We just got married and not only am I new wife but now three babies!

The girls, Alanna, Elanna and Ianna are now 16 and their younger sister Zanna is 14. I have the four most beautiful daughters in the village.
And the village boys hanging about my door!


What is a Papa to do?

Noaha told me I had nothing to fear. Our daughters were as wise as they were beautiful. We needed to trust The Guilding Hand t bring the right husband to each of our daughers.
just as The Guilding Hand brought Noaha to me.

And The Guilding Hand did.
First there wad Alanna who married Motu.

Then, Elanna married Ash

Now, with my four beautiful daughters all grown and married, I can sprend the rest of my years enjoying my beloved Noaha.

How big was your attachment? It looks like it exceeds the maximum file size allowed, and it can't be viewed. You might try converting it to a jpeg, which will make it a lot smaller.
