When you are sitting in front of your computer, what type of game do you most like to play?

i like sim/tycoon games b/c a lot of times you end up caring about what happens to them. i always wanted to try age of empire to.

I actualy prefer strategy games, like Age of Empires. As well as the vv games

I like sim/tycoon but also hidden objects as well

I like sim/tycoon games cos i can sit and knit at the same time and don't have to be constantly clicking things.

Sim/Tycoon games but i also like card and casino games.

This one was actually hard for me to answer because my preference in games depends on my frame of mind at the time. Although, for the most part, I flip between Sim/Tycoon type game (mainly my vv2) and Hidden Objects. I do have other games as well that fall under most of the other choices on this poll. I guess I go through phases. One week it will be one kind and the next week, it is something different. I guess I am either diverse or suffer from a short attention span... {{Oh look! Butterfly! I usally play Role Play and VV so i picked role play as i do that much more often

I tend to favor the simulation or time management type games. I have over a dozen or so that I rotate through such as Railroad Tycoon, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Sims2, both Age of Empires, Pharoah and Zeus.

Notice I didn't mention VV or Fish Tycoon as the way LDW made them I can play them at the same time as I roate through the others.

I love word games, but more often than not I like my Tycoon games best.

The word games are great, but actually require thought, and sometimes after work, I'm just tired of thinking.

I can play the tycoon games a little at a time and still feel like I'm making progress.

And I'm going to say it: great minds think alike. I tend to flop between those two choices (Sim/Tycoon and Hidden Object) as well. And I still love trying a bunch of new, random downloadable games, whether they fit the above categories or not. I just need something to distract me so I don't get bored (especially when I'm at work).

I've never been a player of computer games, apart from Solitaire occasionally. Even now I am one of the most casual of casual games players. The only games I own are LDW games - VV1, VV2, PT, and FT. Since discovering VV I've tried a few other games but I've not really liked them and I haven't bought them.

I'm not really sure what possessed me to get VV1. I know that I accidentally clicked on an ad and I liked the look of the screenshots so I downloaded the trial. I bought it before the hour was up, and have been hooked ever since.

I picked roleplay because I mostly go on Neopets (which is a virtual pet site) and play the virtual villagers games. When I play the VV games, I am roleplaying a goddess

I LOVE MY SIMS 2, and my expansion packs for it, Nightlfe and University.

Besides PT/FT/VV I tend to like puzzle games whether they are "match 3" or other types. I tend not to like ones that speed up to make them harder.

Puzzle games are my favorite, too -- I think I like PT/FT/VV because they have puzzle-type aspects (the sim part isn't so important for me).

Recently started playing text adventure games again -- I forgot how much fun they are (Zork was one of the first computer games I played, even) ... all puzzle

Zork is so cool. I found a download about a year ago. I first played Zork on like my Commodore 64. It is so cool.

My first Zork experience was on a C64, too - but I didn't solve it until I was a bit older (on a Mac SE in college). I'm sooo tempted now to drag out my old disks and play a few games (or some of the freeware/shareware ones available online).

And to stay OT - I chose word games in the poll because that's closest to what I play mostly...word and number puzzle games online. After checking my plants, of course .

don't like the violent type games But love the games like VV where you care for things and raise them.

I like RPGS and Tycoon too, too bad it's only a 1 pick poll T_T

i don't like the normal match 3 games but i got this game called The Lost Rise of Atlantis and its way funner cause it has a story line.

This was a little tough to answer because while I love the VV games and Fish Tycoon not all Tycoon games are created equal to LDW. Some are just too complex for me but with LDW games I can relax after work with my fish and my people long after the puzzles are done. My other favorites are Chocolatier, Chocolatier2 and Grimm's Hatchery. With Grimm's Hatchery it never has the same results.I've owned the game for over a year and so far have only been able to complete it once. With 3 levels of game play each make it tougher to play but keeps you interested. With Chocolatier it was the adventure and even after you complete the game you can still continue to travel the world making chocolates.
I do have some very casual games but I don't seem to play them often because when you get to the finish there isn't anything to keep you coming back. I don't even own a match 3 game as you can play them by the dozens online for free when the mood strikes. Even the ones with story lines end way to soon
So, LDW I pray you will keep up the good work with your games for years to come.

I am hooked on Myst, Riven, Myst 3-Age of Exile(right name?), Uru, Uru live(soon to come), and the last two games. I am also obsessed with LDW games.

The next best to the LDW games (if there is any time left, but mostly there isn't) I play Sims2 Castaway on PS2, which I got from my son who bought a PS3 instead
maybe because this is located on an island too and you have to search things and build things as well ...

before the LDW games got here I never played any games at all, VV1 did the trick!

I also love the Sims 2 Castaway-I think it is the island theme and my longing for vv4 to be released Also Sudoku, Majong, Jigsaws and other quick online puzzle games. My absolute favs are definately all the LDW games though.
